Brookdale Community College Sophomore, Theodore Purdon, was named the 2022 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Cross Country Men’s Athlete of the Year for the East Region. In addition, Purdon earned the award last year as well for his outstanding efforts.

Purdon, the Little Silver native, has earned The U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Male National Athlete of the Week for the week of September 19th, 2022, finished 1st overall in the Region 19 Championship, and was amongst the top runners in the country, finishing 7th overall at the recent NJCAA National Championship in Westfield, MA.
