Brookdale’s Askew Earns Player Of The Week

To no surprise after a week of amazing basketball game performances, sophomore center, Darnell Askew, swished 93 points on the week as the Jersey Blues went undefeated, grabbing three Region 19 wins against the Passaic Panthers, 104-63, Ocean Vikings, 109-84 and Luzerne, 112-63.

He shot up the stat list averaging 31.0 points per game, 15 rebounds per game, and shot an incredible 78.9% from the field to earn the NJCAA DIII Men’s Player of the Week and GSAC Player of the Week.

Askew totaled 93 points, 43 rebounds, 12 blocked shots, and nine assists for the week of February, 7th – February, 13th, 2024.
