Brookdale Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Cyndie Williams and Dr. Stephanie D’Alessio to its Board of Trustees. Governor Phil Murphy and the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners have selected these two distinguished professionals who will bring a wealth of expertise in education, management, and community service to the college.
Appointed by Governor Murphy, Williams’s commitment to education and workforce development is evident. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Rutgers University and a Journey Level Carpenter certification. Currently, she heads the Carpenter Contractor Trust, representing 42,000 carpenters and thousands of signatory contractors across a six-state region, including New Jersey. Her extensive experience includes roles such as Executive Director for The Carpenter Contractor Trust, Council Representative for the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, and Field Administrator for UBCNJCTF, INC, where she managed Job Corps programs and developed curricula.
Selected by the County Commissioners, Dr. D’Alessio brings broad experience in educational leadership, program development, and a commitment to promoting career readiness. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Monmouth University and her B.A. and M.A. in Education from Seton Hall University. She also holds a DoS Certification in Evaluation and Assessment of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Programming from the PEAR Institute at Harvard. Dr. D’Alessio is currently serving as Assistant Division Director with the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, State of New Jersey. Her previous roles include Assistant Supervisor of Educational Programs, State of New Jersey, public school teacher, and director of daily programming operations for two New Jersey non-profit organizations.
