Hosting a Brookdale International Student: A Rewarding Experience

Not only will you be able to develop meaningful connections with students from around the world, but you’ll also receive a monthly stipend for your hospitality.

Why Host an International Student?

Hosting an international student offers numerous benefits:

Ideal Host Requirements

To provide the best experience for our international students, we are looking for host families who meet the following criteria:

Location: Ideally, you live on or within walking distance to bus routes 832 and 838. Alternatively, you should be able to bring the student to campus or drop them off at the nearest bus route.
Environment: A welcoming and supportive environment that encourages the student to engage in cultural exchange and academic success.

How to Apply

Interested in becoming a host family? While you can ask us general questions about hosting, you will need to apply through one of the local homestay organizations operating in our area. These organizations will help match you with a student and provide ongoing support throughout the hosting period.
