Jersey Blue graduate and men’s basketball forward Tyler Hawkins recently committed to the Pittsburg State University Gorillas.

Hawkins of Tinton Falls, NJ (Monmouth Regional High School) in May 2021 received his Associate in Science majoring in criminal justice from Brookdale Community College.

Over his two-year stint at Brookdale, he accumulated memorable plays and stats for the Blues. Tyler Hawkins averaged 16.6 points per game and totaled 126 assists, 65 steals, and 145 rebounds.

Pittsburg State University is a four-year institution located in Pittsburg, Kansas. The Gorillas are members of NCAA Division II and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA).
