The Brookdale Jersey Blues are one of the top 10 teams moving up in the Week 4 NJCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country National Coaches Poll ranking, released October 26 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The season’s final set of rankings left the top 4 unchanged. However, the 2022 NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships are on Saturday, November 5.
Mineral Area (Mo.) CC is No. 1 for a third-straight week.
Holding down Nos. 2, 3, and 4 are the Illinois trio of College of DuPage, Joliet JC, and Harper, respectively. Joliet is the reigning national champion, and DuPage opened the year as No. 1 in the rankings.
Moving up to No. 5 is Brookdale (N.J.) CC, climbing up for the fourth-straight week. The Jersey Blues are looking for their highest national finish since 2010, when they were sixth, and are slated to compete Saturday at the Region XIX Championships in Wilmington, Delaware.
“We are hoping to be in the mix of everything and looking for a top 3 to top 5 finish overall as a team,” said Brookdale Coach Michael Tursi.
Rounding out the top 10 are No. 6 St. Charles (Mo.) CC, No. 7 SUNY Broome CC, No. 8 Lorain County (Ohio) CC, No. 9. Oxford (Ga.), and No. 10 Suffolk County (N.Y.) CC.
