Students had the opportunity to learn more about the Bankier Library at the CeLIBration on September 17th.

“My favorite part of the event, aside from giving away the prizes, is the opportunity to introduce new and returning students to the Library at a time when they are not here for a class or coursework,” said Steve Chudnick, director of the Bankier Library. “The ability to show off the Library in a more relaxed, social situation can make for more positive associations for the students,” he said. “Then when they do come to us for educational purposes knowing the layout and some of the people and services, it is less anxiety-provoking for them.”

Students also learned about the departments that partner with the library. Career and Leadership Development staffed an informational table to let students know all about the new Career Studio located on the second floor of the library. Learning Commons Assistants were on hand to tell students how The Tutoring Center can help.
