The Brookdale Community College Men’s Tennis team is pleased to announce Anton Kalajian as their April Student Athlete of the Month. As a freshman Dean’s List business administration major, Anton has already made a significant impact on the team, both on and off the court.

When asked about his hero, Anton shared that his father has guided him onto the correct path and shaped him into who he is today. This support has helped Anton to excel not only in tennis but also in his academics and extracurricular activities.

Looking to the future, Anton has set his sights on a career in finance, hoping to work on Wall Street after completing his bachelor’s degree. If he won the lottery, Anton said he would build a tennis court in his backyard and mentioned his top three movies as “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Monsters University,” and “Catch Me If You Can.”

When asked what superpower he would choose if he were a superhero, Anton responded with supersonic speed, explaining that he would never lose a tennis match if he could get to every ball. His hard work and dedication to the sport have paid off, as he has excelled in both doubles and singles play, rotating between 1st and 2nd singles on the Brookdale team.

In addition to tennis, Anton is involved in other campus organizations, including Alpha Pi Theta (PTK) and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), where he serves as Treasurer. He also enjoys playing golf and going to the gym outside of school.

Anton is from Holmdel, NJ, and during his upbringing, he participated in USTA matches and received coaching at the Little Silver Tennis Club. He cites Nick Kyrgios and Carlos Alcaraz as his favorite current men’s professional tennis players.

As Anton prepares to transfer to the University of Tampa after this semester, the Brookdale Community College Men’s Tennis team is proud to recognize him as a standout athlete and leader on their team.
