Lincroft, NJ –Brookdale Community College has again been ranked New Jersey’s Safest School among two and four year institutions, earning an overall safety score of 98.33%. This marks the second consecutive year Brookdale has achieved the designation.

StateUniversity.com, the leading website for college information, released the annual list of the safest colleges and universities in the U.S. The Safest Schools findings are based on incidents of campus crime as reported by campus safety officials.

In the research, colleges and universities were ranked for campus safety on a scale that accounts for severity of a crime as well as frequency of crime. Campus crime statistics were based on incidents per 1000 students.

The campus crime statistics published on StateUniversity.com are taken from crime reports submitted by college/university law enforcement between January 1 and December 31, 2011.
