Brookdale Community College President Dr. David Stout was among 25 college presidents to receive the Paragon Award for New Presidents from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) at its annual convention, PTK Catalyst 2019, in Orlando, Florida in April.

These awards recognize new college presidents who have shown strong support of student success by recognizing academic achievement, leadership and service among high-achieving students at their college. Recipients were nominated for the award by the students on their respective campus. More than 500 college presidents were eligible to receive this award.

“PTK students make a tremendous impact at Brookdale and in their respective communities,” said President Stout. “This award reflects their many contributions to Brookdale’s success, and I am very grateful.”
