On March 1, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) traveled to the Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch, N.J. and prepared a home cooked meal for the families.

SAAC toured around the house, learning about the history of the Ronald McDonald Foundation before preparing a big house salad, fusilli pasta with spinach and asiago cheese and baked chocolate chip cookies.

The Ronald McDonald House aims to provide a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving care at medical facilities. The organization also offer family Rooms and a hospitality suite in the pediatric units of four hospitals in Monmouth and Middlesex County.
