The Garden State Athletic Conference has announced the Division III Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending on March 27th. Brookdale’s John Scrivanic from Tinton Falls, NJ, took home the weekly honor.

The Jersey Blues first baseman hit .384 on the week, driving in 11 runs and scoring seven runs of his own. In a 4-0 week, the Brookdale freshman blasted three homeruns in a three-game sweep of Atlantic Cape CC. In 21 games this season, Scrivanic is hitting .328 overall with 32 RBI and 29 runs scored. His 11 homeruns on the year is currently tied for 1st for all hitters in NJCAA Division III Baseball.

Scrivanic previously played for Red Bank Catholic and is a criminal justice major at Brookdale.
