With sheer determination and unwavering focus, Brookdale Community College sophomore powerhouse pitcher Mallory Shevlin from Middletown North High School has become an ace on the mound. She reached her 300th career strikeout as a Jersey Blue in a remarkable doubleheader triumph (4-2, 9-8) on the road against the DII Lackawanna College Falcons, a testament to her dedication and hard work.

For her exceptional performances, Shevlin was deservedly named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and National Junior College Athletic Conference (NJCAA) DIII Pitcher of the Week.

Mallory Shevlin’s impact extends far beyond the pitching circle. Throughout the week of April 28th, she showcased her all-round skills, pitching 36 innings and securing 49 strikeouts. But it was her offensive contributions that truly stood out, amassing 15 hits, including two doubles and two triples, while crossing the plate six times and driving in 14 runs. This versatility further solidifies her status as a top player.

Shevlin’s 2024 season has been impressive, tallying 122 strikeouts, maintaining a 4.23 ERA, and pitching 96.0 innings, securing a commendable 10-6 record with ample season ahead.

CONGRATULATIONS MALLORY!
