Clara’s Closet has expanded its reach with a satellite location at Brookdale Community College. Brookdale, in partnership with Lunch Break, offers students and community members the opportunity to find winter wardrobe staples free of charge. Located on the Lincroft campus in the Main Academic North building MAN 214, it is conveniently found on the second floor overlooking the future Caroline Huber Holistic Wellness Center.

“Lunch Break is so excited about our Clara’s Closet partnership with Brookdale Community College,” said Fatina Carranza, resource navigator. “We have been open since the middle of January and we have had the opportunity to help lots of students find all kinds of apparel they need. The students have come by and shared their stories with us and have been excited to learn about what we have to offer. The Brookdale staff has been very welcoming and supportive. Please stop by between Tuesdays – 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and come say hello!”

Suited for success, students will find work and job interview attire, shirts, shoes, and even something for a special occasion. Some accessories include pocketbooks, jewelry, hats, gloves, and scarves. In addition, the shop is seasonally stocked with warm gear such as boots, sweaters, coats, and jeans.

Lunch Break and Brookdale have partnered to provide help, hope, and lead those they serve to self-sufficiency and healthier lifestyles.
