Statement of Purpose
SOL aims to expose the College community to and stimulate interest in Latin American culture, including but not limited to art, cuisine, history, literature, music, and politics. S.O.L. shall provide the Brookdale College community with educational and cultural programming to foster a more nuanced understanding of and greater appreciation for Latin American culture and its contributions to U.S. American life and culture. S.O.L. shall highlight and create a safe space for all (but not limited to) Latino students and advocate for their needs through initiatives such as panels, speakers, fundraisers, and volunteer work.
