Brookdale Community College announces the recent March 1st, 2023, hire of alumni Paige Eckert, who is the newest Administrative Assistant of Athletics & Recreation. Eckert attended Brookdale from 2016-2018 where she earned an associate degree in business administration and competed with the women’s softball team.

Within those two years of softball, Paige made two back-to-back appearances at the NJCAA National Tournament in Rochester, MN, was awarded First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, 2018 Region MVP,  NFCA First Team All- American, and NJCAA First Team All-American.

After graduating from Brookdale, Eckert was recruited to play softball for the Georgian Court University Lions, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Following her graduation at Georgian Court, Eckert continued her softball career as a coach for her alma mater, the Brookdale Jersey Blues. She began in September of 2021 alongside Head Coach, Bo Scannapieco, as a volunteer assistant coach for two seasons.

Eckert, a Belmar resident, is currently a softball coach with the Legacy Softball Academy Organization and she continues to play in a women’s slow pitch league for Wall, NJ.
