About Collage

Collage is one of Brookdale’s longest standing traditions, celebrating student literature, art, and design at the college for over 50 years! This free annual student-run publication aims to encourage aspirations and creativity within the Brookdale community, and to showcase each year’s best work in all mediums.

Collage is open to Brookdale students of all majors to work together and publish an annual magazine that features exceptional student work. Each academic year, a new volume is organized and designed entirely by Brookdale students from the beginning of the creative process up until the final publication.

The student editorial staff meets weekly on Zoom during the Fall and Spring semesters. They solicit, critique, and choose the best literary, visual art, and design submissions for Collage from the general student population. The staff then designs and publishes the diverse magazine with intention to share their interpretations of the complex world we are all living in. Faculty from the English, Design, and Art departments support the student editorial staff as needed.
