What are the requirements for your GED and ESL Programs?

Students must be 16 years or older to be considered for enrollment.
Students must be able to commit/dedicate at least 6 hours per week to attend classes.
Students must be able to read, write and understand English to take GED Classes
NO citizenship documentation is required.

Where are the GED and ESL Classes offered?

The GED and ESL classes are offered at Brookdale’s regional locations in Long Branch, Neptune, Hazlet, and Freehold.

When are classes offered?

We offer four 12-week cycles per year beginning in July, October, January, and April.
Classes meet 2 days a week for 3 hours a day.
Classes are either Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday. There may be some exceptions.
Morning classes meet 9am-12pm, Afternoon classes meet 1pm-4pm, and Evening classes meet 6pm-9pm.

How do I register for classes?

Call 732-224-2180 to place your name on our Wait List. Students must commit to attend classes 6 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Where do I take the GED Exam?

The High School Equivalency Diploma test is given at Brookdale Community College, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738, Testing Center located in the CAR Building, Parking Lot #5. Please check the Brookdale website for hours of operation. NO paper and pencil test at this time.
