Brookdale Cares Volunteer Service

Student Life & Activities supports volunteer service in our efforts to build community throughout Monmouth County and beyond.  Through our partnerships with other Brookdale departments and community organizations we help to plan events such as the ones listed below.  In addition, all recognized clubs and organizations are required to complete one service project to remain in good standing.

Spring 2025 Brookdale Cares Opportunities for Involvement:

Alternative Spring Break with Habitat for Humanity

Previously, Student Life & Activities partnered with Habitat for Humanity’s Collegiate Challenge program to bring students on a week long service project.  Habitat provided housing, supervision and materials through their local affiliates, and students got to learn invaluable skills in construction and team-building while helping ensure that every family has a safe, affordable place to live. Trips included:

• Greenbrier County, West Virginia – Spring 2015
• York, Pennsylvania – Spring 2014
• Waynesburg, Pennsylvania – Spring 2013
• Anniston, Alabama – Spring 2012
