Lincroft, NJ —The term stage fright takes on a new meaning this month as Brookdale Community College students again transform the college’s Performing Arts Center (PAC)  into a labyrinth of horror. Haunted Theater 2013 will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday the weekends of Oct. 18-20 and Oct. 25-27.  Visitors can choose between 25-minute “Come at Your Own Risk” walking tours conducted each evening between 7 and 10:30 or a child-friendly “Not So Haunted Theater” version on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4.  Additional tours will be offered for students and staff from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24.

Designed, built and run by past and present Brookdale students, the Haunted Theatre is not a sit-down performance, but a tour through the entire facility, complete with body parts and evil creatures. Children visiting the afternoon program will be treated to an interactive Halloween adventure.

Tickets will be sold at the box office on the day or night of the tour and are $10 for the community; $8 for seniors 62 and older and Brookdale faculty and staff; and $5 for Brookdale students with a valid ID (tickets are limited to two per student). Tickets for child-friendly tours are $5. Brookdale students and staff will be admitted for $5 on Oct. 24.

The Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center is located on the Lincroft campus at 765 Newman Springs Road. Most convenient parking can be found in Lot 2.

The Haunted Theater is produced through the combined efforts of the Brookdale Performing Arts Center and Theater Club, which is cosponsored by the Associated Students of Brookdale Community College and the Office of Student Life and Activities.
