Dynamic Spring Networking Event at Brookdale’s CVA Gallery
Brookdale Showcases Its Role as a Hub for Regional Business and Community Engagement
Brookdale Community College recently welcomed business leaders, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and community partners from across New Jersey for a Spring Networking Event hosted by BCB Bank in partnership with the Brookdale Community College Foundation and regional business organizations.
Held at Brookdale’s Center for the Visual Arts (CVA) Gallery, the event highlighted the college’s growing role as a premier destination for business, cultural, educational, and community events throughout the region.
The gathering brought together representatives from chambers of commerce, businesses, educational institutions, and civic organizations for an evening focused on building relationships, sharing ideas, and strengthening partnerships that support economic growth and community development.
A special guest address was delivered by Senator Robert Singer, who emphasized the vital role that collaboration between businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations plays in strengthening local economies and creating opportunities for residents and employers alike.
“Strong communities are built through strong partnerships,” said Singer. “When businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations work together, they create opportunities that benefit everyone and help drive long-term regional growth.”
The event also showcased Brookdale’s unique ability to serve as a gathering place for organizations of all sizes. From intimate receptions and networking events to conferences, performances, expos, and community celebrations, Brookdale offers a variety of venues and atmospheres designed to bring people together in meaningful ways.
“Brookdale is uniquely positioned to serve as a gathering place for our business and nonprofit communities,” said Ed Johnson, Executive Director of Governmental Affairs and Community Relations at Brookdale Community College. “Whether it’s a professional networking event, community forum, cultural program, or large-scale conference, our campus offers welcoming spaces that create opportunities for connection, collaboration, and growth.”
Guests also had the opportunity to experience one of Brookdale’s signature event spaces while viewing Chhange’s student art exhibit from the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights & Genocide Education. The exhibit provided a creative backdrop that reflected the college’s commitment to fostering dialogue, learning, and engagement across diverse audiences.
The success of the event was made possible through the partnership between BCB Bank, the Brookdale Community College Foundation, and regional business organizations. Among those helping lead the effort was Brookdale alumnus and Foundation Board Member Jose Fabrizzio Orozco, MBA, Vice President and Regional Manager at BCB Bank.
“This event was about more than networking,” said Orozco. “It was about bringing people together, creating opportunities for collaboration, and demonstrating the value of strong community partnerships. Brookdale provides an exceptional setting for those connections to happen.”
As Brookdale continues to expand partnerships throughout Monmouth County and beyond, events like this reinforce the college’s role as more than an educational institution. With venues ranging from art galleries and conference spaces to performance venues and meeting rooms, Brookdale serves as a regional hub where businesses, organizations, educators, artists, and community leaders can connect, collaborate, and create new opportunities together.
The Spring Networking Event demonstrated the power of those partnerships and the value of creating spaces where business, education, government, and community leaders can come together to strengthen the region and shape its future.
