LINCROFT, NJ (Nov. 25, 2014) – Brookdale Community College will host a free information session for its award-winning paralegal studies program on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m. on the Lincroft campus.

Community members are invited to meet with program faculty, tour campus facilities and learn about the paralegal profession.

“This program opens so many doors for our students,” said assistant Professor Michael Sullivan, assistant professor of legal studies at Brookdale. “Our graduates have gone on to work for law firms, banks, corporate insurance firms and government agencies, just to name a few.”

Sullivan, one of three licensed attorneys teaching in the Brookdale program, added that paralegals are becoming more valuable to today’s employers. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 17 percent by 2022.

Brookdale’s paralegal program, which prepares students for immediate job placement, was named one of the three best programs in the state in the New Jersey Law Journal’s Best of 2013 survey.

The information session will be held in Room 204 at Larrison Hall on Brookdale’s Lincroft campus. It is free and open to the public. For more information contact Phyllis Nicholson at 732-224-2014 or email pnicholson@brookdalecc.edu
