The Fall 2019 Volunteer and CommUNITY Organization Fair on October 25 in the Student Life Center provided Brookdale students with an opportunity to discover ways to get involved in their local neighborhoods and on campus.

This year’s event featured several non-profit organizations who provided information on the populations they serve. Representatives discussed with students how they can participate and learn more about specific causes and projects.

“It’s a great event for all the non-profits and community organizations to come together and talk directly with students about how they can make a difference and to network with the organizations,” said Jackie Liguori, director of volunteer engagement with the United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. “I had good conversations with students who expressed an interest in getting involved in our work with children.”

The fair was organized by Brookdale’s Educational Opportunity Fund.
