LINCROFT, NJ (October 10, 2016) – Brookdale Community College’s 2016-17 Visiting Artist Series returns on Nov. 3 with a free presentation by noted metalsmith and jewelry artist Frederick Marshall at 12 p.m. in the college’s Center for Visual Arts (CVA) Gallery, 765 Newsman Springs Road, Lincroft.

A former program coordinator at the Peters Valley School of Craft and current adjunct assistant professor of art at Montclair State University, Marshall has received visual arts fellowships from the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and the New Jersey State Council for the Arts.

Marshall will host a unique lunchtime presentation for local art fans and aspiring artists, including a showcase of his work, a discussion of the artistic process and a question and answer session with audience members. The presentation is free and open to all. Lunch will not be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.

Marshall will also host an interactive workshop with Brookdale visual art students following the presentation. His work and the work of other 2016 Visiting Artists will be on display in the CVA Gallery from Nov. 3 – 23.

The Visiting Artist Series, now in its fourth year, is funded by grants from the Monmouth County Arts Council and Brookdale.
