To commemorate the 104th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, The Center for Holocaust, Human Rights, and Genocide Education (Chhange) at Brookdale will host a film screening of Women of 1915 on April 22 at 7 p.m.

The documentary shares the stories of women of the Armenian Genocide: survivors, victims, and international rescuers. Women of 1915 delineates the plight and survival of the Armenian women during the Genocide of 1915 and the non-Armenian women who rescued orphans and traveled to killing fields as rescuers and aid workers.

A discussion follows the screening with director Bared Maronian, a Regional Emmy Award winning Armenian documentary filmmaker and a 2016 Armin T. Wegner Humanitarian Award Laureate.

The screening is free and open to the public. The commemoration takes place in the Navesink Rooms of the Warner Student Life Center.
