Brookdale, Drew University Announce Partnership

LINCROFT, NJ (Oct. 22, 2015) – Brookdale Community College honors graduates will now be eligible for scholarships of up to $25,000 at Drew University, as part of a new partnership announced by both schools on Oct. 19.

Beginning in fall 2016, students who complete the Brookdale honors program and graduate with at least a 3.50 grade point average (GPA) will be eligible for up to $20,000 a year in scholarships at Drew, located in Madison.

Honors graduates transferring with at least a 3.75 GPA can receive up to $25,000 a year in scholarships. Students who are members of the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society are also eligible for an additional $2,500 a year at Drew.

“We are excited and extremely grateful to Drew for offering this tremendous new opportunity to our students,” said Brookdale President Dr. Maureen Murphy, who joined Drew President MaryAnn Baenninger in Madison on Oct. 19 to announce the partnership.

“Our honors graduates can now complete their bachelor’s degree at one of New Jersey’s premier universities while saving up to $55,000 on the cost of their education.”

The Drew scholarship program is the latest is a series of new partnerships between Brookdale and area universities. In February, Brookdale and Rider University announced a guaranteed admissions program that offers scholarships and reduced fees to eligible Brookdale graduates.

Last year, Brookdale and Georgian Court University unveiled a program that offers tuition discounts of up to 52 percent to eligible transfer students.
