Position Summary

Dimension Dental Care is a patient-focused general dental practice in Holmdel looking to add a dental assistant to our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or a student finishing the dental assisting program — we are happy to train the right person. We offer paid time off that begins accruing on day one, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with 3% match.

Schedule:

• Monday & Wednesday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

• Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

• Every other Friday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

• No weekends

 

 

Job Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting during restorative and hygiene procedures

• Taking and processing digital X-rays (once licensed)

• Sterilization and operatory setup/breakdown per infection control protocols

• Taking impressions and scans, patient charting, and assisting with treatment notes

• Greeting patients, reviewing health histories, and explaining post-operative instructions

• Helping keep the clinical area organized and stocked

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

• Strong communication skills. You’ll be speaking with patients every day, and making them feel comfortable and informed is a big part of the job.

• Honesty and integrity.

• Punctuality and reliability — our schedule depends on everyone being ready to start on time.

• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.

• New Jersey Dental Radiologic Technologist (X-ray) license preferred; candidates in the process of obtaining it are encouraged to apply.

• Completion of a dental assisting program, or currently enrolled.

• CPR/BLS certification a plus.
