Position Summary

Under direction of the Zoning Officer, performs a variety of duties in support of the Borough’s local code enforcement and zoning department.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include conducting property inspections, investigating complaints, enforcing property maintenance, zoning, and related municipal ordinances, issuing notices of violation and summonses, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and appearing in Municipal Court as needed.

 

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, working knowledge of municipal code enforcement, valid New Jersey driver’s license.

The successful candidate must pass a background check and drug test.

Job Location: Eatontown, New Jersey

Salary Range: $28.59 – $35.00 per hour; commensurate with qualifications and experience

Benefits: Medical, dental, prescription and paid time off benefits are not available for this position. This position qualifies for NJ Earned Sick Leave and will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
