Position Summary

Position Summary: The Library is seeking to hire a seasonal building maintenance worker who can work 23 hours per week.

 

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions, but are not limited to:

-Cleans room, offices, and restrooms

-Dusts, cleans, and polishes woodwork, furniture, fixtures, and equipment

-Washes and cleans windows, glass, and flooring, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping

-Empties wastebaskets and trash

-Change out the water bottle stations and restock staff and public facilities

-When assigned, assist with program setups and breakdowns

-Occasionally work on ladders and scaffolding to change lightbulbs, paint, etc.

-Must be able to move objects and equipment of 50 pounds or more

-Assists senior building maintenance workers on special projects and repairs as needed

-Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the library

 

Qualifications

-Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

-Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license

-Proficiency with tools and a general knowledge of various repair skills

Schedule:

Monday: 10:00am-2:00pm

Tuesday: 6:00pm-10:00pm

Wednesday: 10:00am-2:00pm

Thursday: 6:00pm-10:00pm

Friday: OFF

Saturday: 9:00am-5:00pm

Compensation: $18.50/hour

Paid Time Off: NJ Earned Sick Leave Law
