Mission
The Brookdale President’s Summit of Monmouth Mayors is dedicated to strengthening connections between Brookdale and the communities that the college serves. Through collaboration and partnership, the initiative focuses on expanding academic and career training programs that align with the workforce needs of local businesses and municipal governments, creating clear pathways to employment and enhancing the quality of life for all Monmouth County residents.
2026 Agenda: Building AgriTech & AgriTourism Ecosystems
Goal: Collaborate on ideas and strategies to build an integrated economic ecosystem that connects agriculture, hospitality, tourism, and technology—strengthening Monmouth County’s Main Street economy and workforce.
- Develop AgriTech Innovation Hubs – Foster partnerships between farms, tech companies, and research institutions to drive agricultural technology adoption.
- Develop Integrated AgriTech Supply Chains–Build county-wide supply chains by connecting farms, processors, hospitality providers, and tech innovators to streamline production, distribution, and service delivery.
- Workforce Pathways for Industry Careers – Align training programs with logistics, technology, and hospitality roles to support a resilient county-wide network.
- Leverage Digital Marketing & Infrastructure – Promote Monmouth County’s AgriTourism assets and support tech-enabled farm operations through broadband and smart solutions.
Annual Meeting
Held each April at Brookdale Community College, the Brookdale President’s Summit of Monmouth Mayors coincides with Community College Month and New Jersey Local Government Week—a fitting time to celebrate the vital role of local leadership and higher education in shaping stronger, more resilient communities.
