The majority of scholarships made available by the Brookdale Foundation and the Brookdale Alumni Association are awarded through the College’s Financial Aid department to students who do not receive Federal or State grants but who have filed a Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

The Paul Ali Memorial Scholarship for Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM): Paul Ali was an industrial designer who spent, most of his career hand drawing schematics that are now done by CAD software. To honor his memory, his family and friends formed this generous scholarship to support women studying science, technology, engineering or math. This is a renewable scholarship with the opportunity to be awarded $2,200 toward a degree and is eligible to be distributed over 4 semesters. View PDF.

(Twenty) $500 Wilbur Ray Memorial Scholarship: As part of the Brookdale Community College COVID-19 response and support initiatives, the Wilbur Ray Memorial Scholarship will provide twenty $500 scholarships for Fall 2020. The scholarship is available to diverse (students of color) incoming high school and currently enrolled Brookdale students. (One) $500 James V. Palumbo, Jr. Memorial Scholarship for a student athlete who has completed two years of eligibility, has earned a minimum of 24 credits and has a GPA of 3.0 or better. View the PDF.

The Frank Whyman Scholarship for Immigrant Students. This scholarship is open to any Brookdale student who is registered for at least six credits and who is not eligible to complete the Fderal Applicant for Federal Student Aid (FAFA). View the PDF.

(Three) $500 Brookdale Community College Alumni Association Youth Opportunity Scholarships are available to an incoming Monmouth County high school graduate who plans to attend Brookdale full-time in the fall of 2020. View the PDF.

(One) $500 S.M.I.LE. Delta Dental Scholarships for students enrolled in the Dental Radiology Technology program in fall 2020. Deadline for application is June 8, 2020. View the PDF.

(Nine) $600 T. J. Bruno Memorial Scholarships for Students with Disabilities. This Endowed Scholarship was formed by Tony and Claudia Bruno, and family friends Eleanor and Roger Dolan, in memory of their son who died in 1999 at the age of 34. This scholarship is available to provide tuition assistance to Monmouth County incoming high school students who will attend Brookdale in Fall 2020. Qualified applicants include those students who are classified and determined eligible for special education and related services under provision of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). This scholarship is renewable for a second year, based on satisfactory academic record at Brookdale. View the PDF.

(Two) $500 Corrine Gramas Memorial Music Scholarships for students who have earned a minimum of 15 credits in the Music Option and a GPA of 2.5 or better. View the PDF.

(One) $500 Roger Price Conant Memorial Scholarship created in loving memory of our former colleague and friend. For students enrolled in one of the following programs: Media Studies, A.A.; Communications Media A.A.S., or Environmental and Earth Sciences A.S. View the PDF.

(One) $500 Vinnie Gorman “Blue Bishops” Scholarship for a 2020 Asbury Park High School graduate with Grade Point Average of B or better, registered to attend Brookdale in fall 2020 and a member of varsity sports team or active in community service. View the PDF.

(One) $750 Kristoffer Anderson Memorial Culinary Scholarship for a student enrolled in the A.A.S. Culinary Degree Program and has a GPA of 3.5 or more in Culinary Art Classes. View the PDF.

(One) $1700 Theo Gade Endowed Memorial Radio Broadcasting Scholarship is available to currently enrolled Brookdale student who is majoring in either the A. A. Degree/Broadcasting Option or Communications Media Program; or A. A. S. Degree/Radio Broadcasting Option, and who is a second year, full-time matriculated student registered for 12 credits in the fall 2020, one of which is RDIO 295 or RDIO 299. View the PDF.

(One) $500 Officer Kenneth F. Tietjen Memorial Scholarship is available to graduates of Monmouth County high schools and who are registered to attend Brookdale Community College as a Criminal Justice Major in the fall of 2020. View the PDF.

(One) $1,800 Eileen Lucarelli Memorial Scholarship is available to a Brookdale student in the Respiratory Therapy program; who has earned a minimum of 8 credits in this program; has a GPA of 2.5+; and has financial need. View the PDF.

(One) $1,500 or $750 Research and Development Council of New Jersey Scholarship for a Brookdale Student pursuing a STEM- related field, has completed at least 12 credits and has at least 21 credits left to finish their degree. View the PDF, then Click here to access online.

(One) $500 Marianne Drake Memorial Scholarship is offered to students by application and will be awarded to a deserving student(s) at Brookdale Community College who is actively involved in Student Life activities, has solid academic performance (unofficial transcript ok) and has financial need. (One) $250 Cheryl Cummings Memorial Scholarship for a student currently enrolled in the Pastry Arts Credit Certificate program, has earned a minimum of 12 credits and has a GPA of 3.0 or better. View the PDF.

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders created a scholarship program for Brookdale graduates who are residents of Monmouth County planning to attend Monmouth University. Nine (9) Eligible students can receive $5,000 per academic year for up to two consecutive years.  Students must meet certain criteria. Stephen Noe Memorial Culinary Scholarship Stephen Noé, a pastry chef, passed away on November 11, 2019. Family and friends contributed funds to create this scholarship in loving tribute to and memory of Stephen. Stephen’s scholarship for students of the Culinary Education Center of Monmouth County is available to a student currently enrolled in the A.A.S Degree in Culinary Arts who submits this application and meets the scholarship criteria. A committee comprised of the Noe family and colleagues will select the scholarship recipient. The scholarship funds will be credited to the selected student’s Brookdale account for tuition and fees for the fall 2020 semester. The scholarship recipient is required to attend the annual Brookdale Scholarship Reception. View the PDF
