Position Summary

Searching for a part-time in-home babysitter/nanny (12-20 hours/wk) beginning Monday July 6th for my 2.5 year old and 6 month old sons. This role would be in conjunction with our full-time nanny who is with us full-time.

Job Responsibilities

This role requires three to five part-time working days, ideally 9am – 1pm. In the summer we’d like help five days per week from 9-1 then in September drop down to two days per week from 9-1 once my toddler starts school.

***We have a loving 7 year old golden doodle in the house as well.

Key responsibilities include:

– Provide attentive and nurturing care for my son in a safe and stimulating environment.

– Engage in enrichment activities, such as reading, singing, and outdoor play.

– Prepare and serve bottles and snacks.

– Promote learning and development. We have a lot of toys/books to play with!

– Maintain a clean and organized space, including tidying up toys and cleaning up after meals.

– Follow established routines and schedules to ensure consistency.

– Communicate effectively with myself regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns.

Qualifications

Looking for someone who’s confident and intuitive that feels comfortable to call me for anything but is also comfortable in most situations so that you wouldn’t need to unless there was a real emergency.

This role requires travel to our home, so a valid mode of transportation is mandatory.

Requirements:

– Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.

– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents.

– Reliable transportation to commute to the family’s location.

– Basic first aid skills, CPR and knowledge of emergency procedures.

– Excellent time management skills to manage routine/schedules.

– Punctual! We need an individual who will show up on time each and every day.

– Previous experience 3+ years caring for infant and newborn children.

– Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities for an infant.
