Part-Time Culinary Position – Build the Experience That Employers Value

Boardwalk Bites and The Range are seeking an enthusiastic culinary student or aspiring chef who wants to gain real-world experience across every aspect of the hospitality industry.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced hospitality entrepreneur and culinary team while developing skills that extend far beyond food preparation.

 

Job Responsibilities

You’ll gain hands-on experience in:

-Operating one of our Boardwalk Bites Food Trucks

-Managing one of our specialty food pushcarts

-Restaurant kitchen operations at The Range in Red Bank

-On-site and off-site catering events

-Menu preparation and execution

-Customer service and food presentation

-Inventory, purchasing, and food cost control

-Event planning and execution

-Operating and managing a self-contained mobile food business

Unlike a traditional restaurant position, you’ll experience multiple areas of the foodservice industry—restaurant operations, food trucks, catering, festivals, special events, and mobile concessions. You’ll see firsthand what it takes not only to cook great food, but also to successfully operate a profitable hospitality business.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who may someday want to own a restaurant, food truck, catering company, or other food-related business.
