BS Criminal Justice, offered by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey

The Criminal Justice Program (BS) is offered through the Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences (New Brunswick). The program is a comprehensive interdisciplinary program that blends a strong liberal arts education experience with pre-professional instruction in the field of criminal justice. The program provides students with a rich understanding of crime and criminal justice in the United States and abroad. Graduates of the program are well-informed citizens on the subject of crime and justice, and are qualified for graduate study or for employment as practitioners in a variety of legal, policy-making, and law enforcement areas. Students with an earned associate degree (AA or AS only) from any accredited community college are eligible to apply to the Criminal Justice program. The Criminal Justice BS combines professional studies in the fields of criminal justice. The degree program is designed for individuals who are either involved in the fields of criminal justice and juvenile justice, or those who seek careers in these fields. This is the only criminal justice program in New Jersey that has undergone a satisfactory Program Review by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. The National Security Studies Department is a National Center of Academic Excellence recognized by the Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency, and offers the only degree of its kind in the State of New Jersey. Accelerated Criminal Justice/National Security Studies Dual Admit Program with Brookdale Community College and NJCU

Earn an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice degree at Brookdale and a Bachelor of Science through the Brookdale-NJCU University Partnership in just three years. You may even complete a Master of Science in National Security Studies through the Accelerated Program in four years.
