BS Labor and Employment Relations, offered by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) announces a new degree completion program focused on issues in the workplace. The BS is designed so that students with associate’s degrees or equivalent credits can complete a bachelor’s degree through a flexible combination of online, weekend, evening, and/or off-campus courses. Daytime classes are also available.
The program offers a number of advantages:

The Department of Political Science at Rutgers University – Camden offers a wide range of courses that students have found useful in preparation for careers in law, government service, and public affairs, as well as for graduate studies in political science and public policy. The major prepares students to enter social work, a profession with a long history of concern and action for the well-being of individuals, families, groups, and communities. Students are prepared for generalist practice, with emphasis on populations at risk. The department is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and includes academic coursework and supervised field practice. Graduates are eligible for certification by the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners and also for advanced standing if they pursue graduate study in social work. B.S.W. offered by Georgian Court University
GCU@Lincroft’s dual admission agreement with Brookdale Community College affords students the opportunity to begin their undergraduate studies at Lincoft campus and finish with a B.S.W. degree from Georgian Court University. GCU@Lincroft’s rigorous curriculum focuses on ethics, values, critical thinking, human behavior, and social and economic justice—all to prepare students to become change agents in today’s world, especially for those who are at a disadvantage. Upon graduation, students can obtain certification upon application to the State Board of Social Work Examiners. A B.S.W. degree makes students more marketable in these tough economic times. They will graduate with fieldwork experience and be able to become a habilitation specialist, an activity director, or a workshop director. Graduates are fully equipped for employment in social services, county and home health agencies, group homes, and nursing homes.
Additionally, a B.S.W. degree from GCU@Lincroft makes graduates eligible to apply for advanced standing when pursuing a Master of Social Work degree.
