Important information for students completing an Associate of Arts (A.A. degree) and considering transferring to Rutgers University. Please read the following information very carefully as it may have a significant impact on the transferability of your A.A. degree courses.
To qualify for the Statewide Transfer Agreement (Lampitt Bill), Rutgers requires students transferring with an A.A. degree to have a specific course dedicated to the Diversity category: Cultural and Global Awareness (CG). The CG course may not have been used to fill a Humanities, History or Social Science requirement, and the course must be completed as part of the student’s A.A. degree. In order for this course to be recognized by Rutgers, it must be completed prior to graduation with the A.A. degree.
