New this fall: First Year Seminar designed just for Veterans – and FREE!
Brookdale’s popular one-credit HUDV 107 course, covering college life, degree choices, career paths and other important issues for first-time college attendees, is now available in a veterans-specific version. Tuition and fees will be waived for veterans. Space is limited to 20 students, so stop in the Veterans Center in MAC 112 for course approval.
The class runs during our Fall 11-Week term from Oct. 5 through Dec. 18 (classes will meet on Mondays from 4:30-5:45 PM on the Lincroft campus) and will be taught by Douglas Larsen, USMC Recon GySGT, veteran of Beirut, and licensed counselor. Special course topics for veterans include transition to civilian and college life, career path clarification, networking and job search, support for life issues, and more. View the course syllabus.
To register, you must stop in at Veterans Services for course approval – please call 732-224-2095 with any questions.
