Lifelong Learning

Lifelong Learning gets serious this fall. In addition to an impressive variety of continuing education classes, events, and bus trips, we proudly introduce Talks For Our Times, three new series designed for seriously thoughtful people.

  • Meet Brookdale’s history department faculty. Six members of this academic department have stepped forward to offer a unique learning opportunity honoring the hundredth anniversary of World War I. The program explores the many facets of WWI and its impact on the world we live in today. This collaborative effort between the academic history department and Continuing & Professional Studies is a first of its kind. It is underwritten by a generous sponsor and offered to the community at a reduced price.
  • Also featured as a novel, multi-lecture series is Classic Themes/Fresh Perspectives, presenting new voices of young scholars. Fresh new light is shed upon timeless themes including humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, and women’s rights.
  • And don’t miss newly developed lectures focused on all things (people, places, and historic events) uniquely New Jersey from The Boss to an early criminal execution, Monmouth County mysteries abound.

People who are interested are the most interesting among us. If you are eager to better understand the world and meet others who are intellectually curious, join us. Nothing beats the energy and excitement of a college campus in fall!
