Personal Trainer National Certification

Start an exciting career in fitness — become a Certified Personal Trainer. This instructor-led course offers in-depth practical training in the essential skills and knowledge in fitness and health. The program consists of 15 hours of lecture in biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage, health assessment, and 15 hours of hands-on practical training on assessing clients, programming, performing proper exercise, presentation skills, and more. Successful completion of the certification exam, which is given on the last day of class, and proof of Adult CPR/AED are required to obtain your Level 1 Certified Personal Trainer certification. Must be 18 years of age.

Areas of Study: Anatomy, physiology, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, cardio-respiratory fitness, nutrition, musculoskeletal injuries, weight control, health screening, motivation, and more. This course is similar to a first-year college-level course. Students must read and comprehend at that level to be successful. Class is limited to 10 students per class.

Classes are a combination of Remote Live via Zoom & In-Person classroom instruction at the Lincroft Campus.
