BestColleges.com announces 2nd annual scholarship for Black women in STEM

BestColleges.com, a leading online resource for students, is pleased to announce the launch of the second annual BestColleges Scholarship for Black Women in STEM. This year, BestColleges.com is giving away five $6,000 scholarships to Black women who are currently pursuing careers in STEM.

The BestColleges Scholarship for Black Women in STEM aims to break down barriers and provide financial assistance to individuals who may face disproportionate challenges in accessing education and opportunities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. By offering these scholarships, BestColleges.com is committed to bridging the gap and fostering diversity in STEM careers.

“We believe that providing financial assistance and support for Black women in STEM is a crucial step in breaking down barriers and bridging the gap in these fields. STEM careers include jobs in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.” The scholarships will be awarded to exceptional Black women who demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing STEM careers and have a proven track record of academic excellence. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Eligibility Requirements:

• This Scholarship Contest is open only to individuals who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
• You must intend to enroll or be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college or university in the United States for the 2024-25 academic year.
• You must be at least 17 years of age.
• This scholarship is for individuals who identify as a cisgender, transgender, or gender non-conforming Black woman, and who are pursuing a STEM-related field.
