The Monmouth County 10th Annual Caregiver Retreat will be held in Brookdale’s Student Life Center on October 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With more than 25 local care providers participating in the event, attendees will have a chance to speak with the vendors and arrange for a follow-up consultation or information.

Lynette Whiteman, executive director of Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey, will give the keynote address, “Guilt, Acceptance, and Chocolate – One Woman’s Caregiving Journey.” Participants will be able to choose one of three breakout sessions.

The Monmouth County Statewide Respite Care program will fund a day of respite at We Care Adult Care for those who want to attend but have no one to care for their loved one.
