Brookdale Community College has announced the appointment of Stephanie L. Hoitt of Rumson, New Jersey, to its Board of Trustees. The Monmouth County Commissioners appointed Hoitt on October 23 and will be officially sworn in at the November Board of Trustees meeting. Her term will run through October 31, 2027.
Hoitt’s professional background spans both business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing, with expertise in account direction, experiential marketing, event planning, public relations, and sales. She has held senior positions with national organizations including YuMe, Jack Morton Worldwide, and the National Hockey League, where she managed major corporate accounts and led large-scale, high-profile events.
In addition to her extensive career accomplishments, Hoitt is a dedicated civic volunteer throughout Monmouth County. She serves on the Board of the Sandy Hook Foundation, where she chairs the Government Relations Committee and has played a key role in advancing federal funding initiatives to support the stabilization and adaptive reuse of the historic Fort Hancock buildings at Sandy Hook.
Her community involvement also includes serving on the Executive Board of the Rumson Garden Club and being an active member of Impact 100. Since 2016, she has supported the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group and Foundation (VNA), co-chairing significant fundraising events and founding Gear to Grow, a charitable program that provides essential items to families served by the VNA’s Children and Family Health Institute.
Hoitt earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs.
Hoitt’s strategic communication expertise, nonprofit leadership, and deep commitment to community service will bring valuable perspective to the Board as Brookdale continues to expand opportunities for students and strengthen partnerships across the region.
