Brookdale Offers Multiple Teacher Preparation Programs:

PreK-3 Educator Preparation Program

This program is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree who have obtained a Certification of Eligibility (CE) in P-3 or those with a Limited P-3 CE.

PreK teaching

K-6 Educator Preparation Program

This program is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree who have obtained a Certification of Eligibility (CE) in K-6 or those with a Limited K-6 CE.

K-12 Subject Matter (SM) Educator Preparation Program

This program is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree who have obtained a Certification of Eligibility (CE) in a K-12 Subject Matter (i.e. Math, Art, Spanish) or those with a Limited CE.

Career and Technical Educator Preparation Program

This program prepares you to become a NJ-certified teacher in vocational or comprehensive schools offering programs in your CTE subject area. New classes begin throughout the year.

Spring 15-Week Term: January 24 – May 12, 2026

December 5 – January 7
Open Registration, payment due January 7

December 24, 2025 – January 4, 2026
Winter Break — All Brookdale locations closed

January 9
Last day to drop classes for 100% refund of tuition; open registration ends
Last day to complete Fall Term Incompletes

January 24
First day of Spring 15-Week Term classes

January 22
Last day to drop classes for 50% refund of tuition only, not fees;
Last day to add classes without Program Administrator approval

January 24
No refund for course drops, withdrawal “W” grade assigned

May 12
Last day of Spring 15-week Term classes. All assignments are due. Missing assignments will result in an incomplete, “I” grade. The “I” will convert to a Fail, “F” grade after May 30, 2026
