Brookdale Community College will offer two new free Financial Aid Completion workshops this January. The workshops will take place on Saturday, January 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brookdale’s Long Branch and Hazlet Regional Centers.

Brookdale’s Admissions and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) coaches will be available at these events to meet with individuals and families and assist in completing the FAFSA or NJ Alternative Financial Aid applications. Incoming and current college students must complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility for financial aid. Students, parents and guardians must bring the following information in order to facilitate completing and filing the FAFSA form: Social Security number and/or alien/permanent resident card if applicable, copies of federal 2018 tax returns and W2 forms for students and parents. If you already have created a FAFSA user ID and password, please bring that information as well.  In order to complete the application, a Social Security number, an FSA ID account and a personal email account are required. Brookdale representatives can assist in establishing an FSA ID account for those who have not started the process.

This program is made possible through funding from the New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG). The CCOG program enables those who meet the criteria to attend community college tuition-free.

Brookdale Community College has six campuses located in Lincroft, Freehold, Wall, Neptune, Long Branch and Hazlet.
