Brookdale Esports is powering up for a purpose this weekend, inviting the entire community to tune in, donate, and make a difference for children in need. Beginning Friday, December 19 at 5:00 p.m. and running straight through to Saturday, December 20 at 5:00 p.m., the team will host a high-energy, 24-hour livestream marathon benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, specifically Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Extra Life logoChildren’s Specialized Hospital is the nation’s leading provider of inpatient and outpatient care for children and young adults facing complex physical, developmental, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Every contribution from the stream will go directly toward supporting their life-changing services and compassionate care.

Throughout the livestream, viewers can expect nonstop gaming action, spirited tournaments, special guests, challenges, and talk-show segments—and plenty of community fun. Donors will be recognized on air, with prizes and unique incentives offered throughout the event. For a $20 donation, supporters can request to have a participating team member pied in the face, and all donations over $20 will automatically enter viewers into a raffle to win an Xbox Series X. The winner will be announced live at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Brookdale Esports is calling on students, alumni, faculty, staff, and gaming fans across the region to join the stream, help spread the word, and support the mission.

“This event brings together everything we love about esports—teamwork, excitement, and community,” the team shared. “We’re doing what we enjoy most to help families who need it most. Every dollar makes a difference.”
