Office 365

Office 365 is Microsoft’s cloud-based suite of productivity and collaboration tools. It provides access to web and mobile versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, along with OneDrive for cloud file storage.

With Office 365, you can work from anywhere, on any device, and easily collaborate and share documents in real time.

Faculty, Staff, and Students

Important: Your Office 365 Email and Application subscription is valid for one year after your last actively enrolled semester for Brookdale Students. As long as you are a current Brookdale employee, Brookdale continues the license agreement with Microsoft.

Access

• Staff and Faculty who have been issued a desktop or laptop can access their email from Microsoft Outlook Desktop Client.
• For the Outlook Enhanced Web Application (OWA), accessed from the MyBrookdale link on the Brookdale website, select the Office 365 icon.

Important:

• Students: Your Office 365 email and application access remains active for one year after your last actively enrolled semester.
• Faculty & Staff: Access continues as long as you remain employed and Brookdale maintains its Microsoft license agreement.

Key Features

• Quota – The default quota for Email accounts is 50GB.
• Email: You can read your mail with Outlook or other supported desktop clients, mobile device clients, or through Outlook Web Access.
• Calendaring: Manage your schedule and look at others’ free/busy times to easily book appointments and meetings.
• Address books: Access Brookdale Community College’s Global Address List or manage your contacts with centralized address books.
• Synchronization: Keep your email, contacts, and calendar updated and in sync between your computers and mobile devices.
• OneDrive for Business – 1 TB of cloud-based storage accessible from any device with an internet connection
• Access to Office Web Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote)
• Download Mobile Applications for smartphones and tablets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote)

• Create a Support Ticket: Using the Service Now application to open a ticket gives you the flexibility to check the status and add comments on a ticket, which is the preferred method.
  • Log in to ServiceNow using your Brookdale email and NetID password to create a support ticket.
