In 2015, the Minority Male Initiative (MMI) was established through a visionary partnership between Brookdale Community College and the Monmouth/Ocean Panhellenic Council. This annual conference, approaching its 10th Anniversary on February 23, 2024, has become a transformative force in shaping the futures of high school juniors, seniors, and current Brookdale students.

The event is scheduled for February 23, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brookdale Community College Student Life Center, Lincroft Campus. The theme, Tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today – Malcolm X, sets the tone for a day filled with inspiration and guidance.

A highlight of the conference is the keynote address by Dr. Daniel Jean. Rising from abject poverty, Dr. Jean’s journey from a 1.9 grade point average to becoming an author, consultant, and CEO of Wordstravel LLC is a testament to the transformative power of education and determination.
