After a standout 2025 season, two of Brookdale Community College’s top performers have been named to the NJCAA Division III Baseball All-American Teams, highlighting a year of excellence on the diamond.

Freshman center fielder Declan Sheehan earned First Team All-American honors, while sophomore catcher Shane Andrus was selected to the Third Team. The recognition places both student-athletes among the best in the nation at the NJCAA DIII level.

Sheehan made an immediate impact in his debut season, batting a staggering .474 with four home runs, 66 RBIs, 73 runs scored, 18 stolen bases, and a .941 fielding percentage. His consistency at the plate and speed on the bases helped fuel Brookdale’s offensive attack all season long.

Andrus, a seasoned presence behind the plate, turned in an equally impressive year. In 49 games, he hit .449 with nine home runs, 69 RBIs, and 57 runs scored while anchoring the defense with 334 putouts.

The duo’s performance helped propel Brookdale back into national contention and further solidified the program’s reputation as a powerhouse in junior college baseball.
