More than 70 students participated and discussed their research projects

Science and research were front and center earlier this week as more than 70 Brookdale Community College students displayed their research posters and discussed their projects with their peers, faculty and visitors in the Fall Biology Department Poster Session. Topics ranged from tree and plant life to invertebrate zoology, ecology and invasive species.

“Our entire department is very proud of the time and effort all our students put into their research and displays,” said lab instructor Sally Kimble. “The research and work really takes hold when the students engage in conversation with others about their findings and challenges.”

This year marks the fifth year of the Poster Session series, with an event held in the fall and spring semesters. Lab instructors whose students participated in this session included: Sally Kimble, Maria Judice, Leslie Van Cleve, Bob Gant, Melanie Katz, Laina Tollefsen and Professor Rob Martens.
