Join the Jewish Student Union to hear Holocaust survivor’s Ruth Rosenfeld’s testimony of her experiences during the Holocaust and her lifelong friendship with the family that hid her. The event takes place on Wednesday, May 8 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Warner Student Life Center, Navesink III.

As children, Rosenfeld and her sister, Halinka, were hidden in Poland from 1943 until the end of the war in 1945. They lived in hiding with two families: Halinka with one sister, Anna; Ruth with the other sister, Julia Wala. The Nazis often came to search the houses while Ruth and Halinka were hiding. Even at her very young age, Ruth was aware of the danger.

This event, in partnership with the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights, and Genocide Education (Chhange), is free and open to the public.
